The new solution merges Gale's authoritative reference content (including Lives & Perspectives) with periodicals and multimedia organized into a user-friendly portal experience while also allowing users to search for people based on name, occupation, nationality, ethnicity, birth/death dates and places, or gender as well as keyword and full text.

With access to millions of titles, the Commonwealth Catalog extends your library's reach to all participating libraries throughout Massachusetts, with convenient pick-up at your local library.
Once you request an item through the Commonwealth Catalog, it usually only takes a few days for your local library to receive it and notify you so that you can stop by your library and pick it up. You'll also return the item to your local library.
