Children’s Room

The Children’s Room is a welcoming space for our young visitors and their caregivers to come and enjoy our library’s collection, use computers, craft and draw at our artist tables, and engage in interactive and imaginative play in our newly updated play area.


The Children’s Room has a large and diverse collection comprised of :

  • Books, including fiction, nonfiction, and graphic novels
  • Magazines
  • Audiobooks, available in three formats, Books on CD, Playaways, and Overdrive
  • Music CD’s
  • DVD’s
  • Video games

Where is the Children’s Room located within the building?

The Children’s Room is located on the second floor of the library accessible by both stairs and elevator.

Is there a changing table in the library?

Within the Children’s Room there is a family restroom that has a changing table and a diaper genie.

Where can I place my stroller in the library?

The Children’s Room itself has limited space for strollers therefore we ask caregivers not to place there items in front of children’s computers or emergency exists. 

Can I place my work in the display case outside of the Children’s Room?

Please contact the Youth Services Librarian,, to discuss placing your work on display. Within the email please explain what objects will be going on display and how long you would like them to be available for public viewing.
