Homebound Delivery

Rockport Library Homebound Delivery Service

Homebound Delivery is a free service in which individuals unable to visit the library due to temporary or permanent illness, disability, or lack of transportation can arrange for a library staff member to deliver library items to them.

Residents can make requests for books, DVDs, audiobooks, magazines, music CDs, or similar items by title or genre. Library materials are picked up and delivered on a schedule that is adapted to individual needs. The outreach librarian is responsible for checking out, renewing and returning all materials on each homebound patron’s behalf. Therefore, no overdue fines are assessed to residents using this service.

Residents can also have a staff member teach them how to borrow ebooks, downloadable audiobooks, and magazines from OverDrive.

If you or someone you know can benefit from the Rockport Public Library’s Outreach Service, please call at 978-546-6934 or email baudano@rockportlibrary.org to obtain more information or to sign up.
