Access newspapers digitally through Newsbank!

|

The library is happy to announce our addition of the database Newsbank! Newsbank offers our patrons digital access to many of the newspapers we have physical subscriptions to – including the Gloucester Daily Times, Cape Ann Beacon, Boston Herald, and USA Today. All you’ll need to access these is your library card number (call us at 978-546-6934 if you aren’t sure of your number). Newsbank can be accessed here, and also on our online resources page.

Newsbank also offers us access to Heritage Hub and Black Life in America. Heritage Hub is a database of obituaries and death notices dating all the way back to 1704; it is a terrific resource for family history and genealogy. Black Life in America documents the experience and impact of African Americans as recorded by the news media. Both of these resources will also require your library card number. We’re very excited to add this collection of materials for you, and hope it helps you with all of your news-content needs.
