Books By Mail Delivery Service

“Books by Mail” is a free service provided for Rockport residents who are unable to visit the library due to temporary or permanent illness, disability, or lack of transportation. This service allows them to arrange for a library staff member to mail library items to their location, ensuring that they can still access the resources they need.

Residents can request books, DVDs, audiobooks, magazines, music CDs or other similar items by specifying the title or genre. A member of the library staff will then mail the requested items to the resident’s location, ensuring that they can still access the resources they need. The outreach librarian is responsible for checking out, renewing, and returning all materials. The library materials are picked up and delivered on a schedule that is tailored to each individual’s needs.

Users can also have a staff member teach them how to borrow ebooks, downloadable audiobooks, and magazines from OverDrive.

If you or someone you know can benefit from the Rockport Public Library’s Books by Mail Delivery Service, please call 978-546-6934 or email baudano@rockportlibrary.org to obtain more information or to sign up.

The library greatly appreciates the Rockport Rotary for their generous funding towards the bags that are used in this service.
