Growing Native: Bringing Back the Pollinators This Saturday!

|

Join the Rockport Garden Club’s team of volunteers: Mary Korslund, Audry Truitt, Elvira Fulchino, Chris Klosterman and Yvonne Forte this Saturday, May 11th in our Brenner Room at 10:30 AM.  Learn about the native plants that have been added to multiple beds around the library, the impact of native plants on the environment, and how bringing wildlife life back into our local gardens creates a counterbalance for climate change.  You will also learn which local birds and pollinator populations have been attracted thus far to the garden. There will be time for questions and a walk of the library garden beds following the presentation.

The Rockport Garden Club also donated two gift bags we will raffle off to two lucky attendees of this event!

As volunteers from the Rockport Garden Club, the library garden team manage and plant the Rockport Public Library garden beds. Their objective is to not only enhance the beauty of our town library, but also illustrate sound ecological practices through the introduction of native plants.
